VOID SEARCH AND RESCUE CONCEPTS
8 HOUR COURSE
This course will encompass the various topics that your response team may encounter in void search operations in structural collapse. Void search teams are discussed, grid search techniques and overall hazard identification will also be explained. The proper shoring techniques for void operation will be demonstrated, including box cribbing and vertical void shores, hands on erection of the shores will be conducted in a void collapse scenario.
VOID SEARCH AND RESCUE TECHNIQUES
16 HOUR COURSE
This is a two day program with extensive void search hands on training conducted. The students will be subjected to operations in several void simulators. Team concepts, proper shoring techniques, safety operations, and size up will be examined. Several actual rescue simulations will be conducted with students extrication victims throughout the two day scenario.

INTERMEDIATE ROPE RESCUE
32 HOUR COURSE
This course provides information and skills to adequately perform basic vertical rope rescue techniques in an urban-suburban environment. The overall objective of this class is to improve rescuer awareness of the safety concerns at rope rescue situations and to develop basic skills in rappelling and high angle rescue systems. Topics include safety orientation, risk assessment, equipment, basic rappelling and ascending, anchoring, belaying, mechanical advantage, patient packaging, incident management, skills evaluation, and testing.
ADVANCED ROPE RESCUE I
32 HOUR COURSE
This course provides information and skills to perform advanced vertical rope rescue techniques in an urban-suburban environment. The overall objective is to improve rescuer awareness of the safety concerns at rope rescue situations and to develop advanced skills in high angle rescue techniques and systems. Topics include ascending, pick-offs, knot passing, team operations, advanced litter packaging, rigging and lower as well as horizontal and high-low tensioned systems. This course is designed for the emergency responders with responsibility in rope rescue. This is a New York State certified course.
ADVANCED ROPE II
32 HOUR COURSE
This course provides additional information and skills required to perform advanced vertical and horizontal rope rescue technique in an urban & suburban environment. The overall objective is to improve rescuer awareness of safety concerns at rope rescue situations and to develop advanced skills in high angle rescue techniques and systems. Topics include vertical low tensioned systems and horizontal and steep tensioned systems (highlines).
